Eastwood: Slams Sinn Féin as Stuck in Fantasy Land Over Brexit

SDLP Leader Colum Eastwood MLA has slammed Sinn Féin Leader Mary Lou McDonald after she claimed that Brexit cannot be stopped in Westminster. The SDLP Leader said that Sinn Féin lacked any strategy on how it can stop a hard border or hard Brexit. Mr Eastwood said people in West Tyrone need to know that a vote for Sinn Fein only strengths the hand of the DUP.

SDLP Delegation meets with An Tánaiste in Derry

The SDLP Leader Colum Eastwood MLA met with An Tánaiste today in Derry alongside Mark H Durkan MLA and Daniel McCrossan MLA. At the meeting, the SDLP Leader reiterated the need for the BIIC to be reconvened to “clear the decks” and challenge all parties back to a functioning Government to protect people here from Brexit. At the meeting, the SDLP delegation also discussed with An Tánaiste how the Irish Government can work with the SDLP to ensure the delivery of a City Deal for Derry and Strabane.

SDLP Health Spokesperson Mark H Durkan has expressed his concern, anger and frustration following the publication of a report into Foodbank use by the Trussell Trust.
