Dallat: Petrol bombers should have no solace

SDLP East Derry MLA John Dallat has said that those responsible for attacking a house outside Coleraine with a petrol bomb should have no cover in the community and must face the full rigours of the law.

Thu 7th October

He said: “The petrol bombing of this house in Articlave, while a man was inside, is tantamount to attempted murder and those responsible must be treated to reflect the potential seriousness of this crime.

“On previous occasions we have seen how these senseless actions have resulted in death and I would urge the police and judiciary to recognise this when catching and prosecuting these thugs.

“The culprits of this crime deserve no solace in this community and must be punished for their grave wrongdoing. I therefore strongly appeal to people in Woodend Park and the surrounding area to please cooperate with the police to bring the perpetrators of this dangerous act to justice.”
