Kelly seeks meeting with PSNI over compensation process

SDLP Policing and Legacy Spokesperson Dolores Kelly MLA is to meet with senior PSNI officers following a report in the Irish News which revealed that officers continue to make compensation claims against the victims of car theft. Ms Kelly said that there must be an internal process which prevents the added stress to the victims of crime.

Eastwood To Press Irish and British Governments on Border Bank

SDLP Leader Colum Eastwood MLA revealed that he will meet the British and Irish governments this week to present a case for the establishment of a North-South Structural Fund – a Border Bank. The Foyle MLA said he believed from previous discussions with An Taoiseach and the British Prime Minister, the governments will be interested in exploring the financial deal that could be used as an economic lever for the border areas against Brexit.
