Kelly welcomes brown bins for Lurgan residents

SDLP Upper Bann MLA Dolores Kelly has welcomed cooperation from Craigavon Borough Council after pressure from the SDLP to provide brown bins to residents in Lurgan and Derrymacash.

She said: “I am delighted that after extensive campaigning by the SDLP, the Council have now included households in Carrickvale, The Grange, Annesborough Park, Annesborough Mews and Ballynamoney Road, Derrymacash in their brown bins scheme.

 

“This will come as a relief to residents in these areas who will now be able to dispose of organic kitchen and garden waste easily and appropriately.

 

“The new brown bin collection will undoubtedly contribute to the ongoing improvement of waste management in Upper Bann.”
