McDonnell condemns dissident disruption

SDLP South Belfast MP Dr Alasdair McDonnell has condemned those responsible for two security alerts in South Belfast.

Mon 7th December

Dr McDonnell said: “The people of South Belfast have had to cope with severe traffic disruptions and inconvenience this morning and I hope that this does not become a trend in the run up to Christmas.

“Those responsible for this activity have no respect whatsoever for local residents, children trying to get to school, students, people travelling to work or for local businesses and traders.

“I would encourage the community to help the police with all information that may assist the prosecution of those responsible for this incident.”
