McDonnell condemns knife threat on young woman

South Belfast MP Dr. Alasdair McDonnell has urged anyone with information about the attack in the Lower Crescent area around midnight last night, where a 19 year old woman was threatened with a knife, to contact the police.

He said: “My thoughts are with this young woman. She has been through a terrifying ordeal.

“It is a blessing that this attacker was disturbed before he could cause any harm.

“I would urge anyone with any information about this attack to contact the police. This man is dangerous and must be caught and prosecuted”.
