He said: “This is a huge quantity of an illegal drug and the PSNI and any other agencies involved in the capture are to be congratulated. Let no one be in any doubt that cocaine is a poison that can devastate lives and lead to early death. Any glamour that misguided people may have sought to attach to it or see in it is belied by the reality and the horror that is known to the health care professionals and others who have to deal with the results.
“ The scale of the capture must mean that some major operators have been put out of business, and I hope that the police will have equal success against anyone who seeks to emulate or replace them.”
