The Northland Councillor said: “On behalf of the SDLP Northland Councillors I have called on the City Solicitor to prioritise a meeting between the PSNI, Derry City Council and NIHE to tackle the increasing levels of anti-social behaviour in the Rosemount area.
“People living in Rosemount, particularly the vulnerable and elderly, are sick and tired of the constant underage drinking and subsequent anti-social activity on their doorsteps.
“Residents should be afforded the opportunity to live in peace and should not have to accept this intimidating and upsetting behaviour.
“I have been speaking to the City Solicitor again today about this issue and have told him that a multi-agency approach and emergency meeting is required without further delay to properly address these problems.
“I would appeal to parents to be aware of the whereabouts of their children as many children who are not from the Rosemount area are engaging in this activity particularly in the Muddy Path and Brooke Park areas.”
