Ramsey: Derry bomb scare causing serious disruption

SDLP Foyle MLA Pat Ramsey has said people across Derry have been seriously inconvenienced by the closure of Craigavon Bridge in the city due to a security alert.

Thu 2nd September

He said: “This bomb scare has brought Derry to a standstill causing great disruption to the many children trying to make their way home after their first days at school as well as people trying to get to an from work in the city.

“People requiring emergency services, particularly ambulances, have been put at risk and others have been prevented from going about their daily business.

“Those responsible for this bomb scare are simply causing unnecessary distress to the people of Derry, who are totally fed up with these types of incidents.

“They need to catch themselves on and let the people of this city live in peace.”
