Thursday 17th December 2009 Foyle MP Mark Durkan has written to the Controller of BBC Northern Ireland Peter Johnston to highlight his concern at the proposed cuts to Radio Foyle’s programmes and staff.
Thursday 7th January 2010 Foyle MP Mark Durkan is to meet the Minister for Environment Edwin Poots at Stormont on Monday (11th January 2010) to discuss a planned cap on the listed building repairs project – which will affect works to be carried out on the Guildhall, St Columb’s Cathedral and the First Derry Presbyterian Church in the city.
Monday 11th January 2010 Foyle MP Mark Durkan today met with Environment Minister Edwin Poots MLA to express his concerns about proposed cuts to three listed building repair projects that form part of the Walled City Project; the Guildhall, First Derry Presbyterian Church and St. Columb's Cathedral. He has welcomed the Minister's agreement to have officials meet the Council to discuss options for a way forward.
