Monday 18th January 2010 SDLP West Belfast MLA Alex Attwood has urged the DUP and Sinn Fein to reject the abolition of the Parades Commission and has called on Sinn Fein to clarify their position on the issue.
Thursday 11th March 2010 SDLP Lagan Valley Westminster candidate Cllr Brian Heading has met with police in the Lisburn area urging them to stick to the terms laid down by the Parades Commission relating to the Stoneyford Parade on St Patrick’s Day.

Tuesday 6th July 2010 SDLP Deputy Mayor of Lisburn Councillor Brian Heading has welcomed the decision of the Parades Commission to alter the route of a band parade in Stoneyford so as to avoid private estates in the village.
Tuesday 27th July 2010 SDLP Upper Bann MLA Dolores Kelly has called for the withdrawal of the draft bill on Public Assemblies, Parades and Protests in Northern Ireland. Speaking after a special sitting of the Assembly’s OFMDM committee, Mrs Kelly said Sinn Féin and the DUP had been playing fast and loose with the issue of parading for their own political needs.
Wednesday 1st September 2010 SDLP North Antrim MLA Declan O’Loan met with the Parades Commission on Wednesday to discuss concerns over last month’s parade by Ballymaconnelly Band through the village, and the events leading up to the parade.
Wednesday 8th September 2010 SDLP South Belfast MP Alasdair McDonnell welcomed the statement by Secretary of State Owen Paterson that he will shortly extend the remit of the Parades Commission if Sinn Fein and the DUP do not get their parades legislation through the Assembly soon.
