Thursday 12th August 2010 SDLP Ards Borough Councillor Joe Boyle has welcomed the proposed testing in Strangford Lough of a further device which is expected to generate electricity from flowing tidal water.
Thursday 9th September 2010 SDLP Ards Borough Councillor Joe Boyle has said the discovery of many seals on Strangford Lough that met a gory death raises more questions than answers and further said it’s unacceptable that the full details of the deaths have been kept private for so long.
Monday 23rd January 2012 SDLP South Down MP Margaret Ritchie has backed calls for the Executive to introduce measures to protect the ecosystems on Strangford Lough while ensuring that those who derive their income from the Lough do not suffer.
