McGlone: Bell has read his brief backwards on RHI

SDLP Spokesperson for the Economy and Chairman of the Enterprise Trade and Investment Committee Patsy McGlone MLA has slammed a decision by the Minister Jonathan Bell to axe the Renewable Heat Incentive. The loss of the scheme which funds renewable heating projects in both the domestic and non-domestic sectors to produce renewable energy is predicted to cost 2,000 jobs.

Mullan selected to contest Assembly Election

SDLP members have endorsed Councillor Gerry Mullan to contest the Assembly Elections in East Derry for the SDLP. If elected he will take the place of John Dallat who has represented the constituency for 18 years. Mullan was first elected to Limavady Borough Council in 2001 and won a seat on the new Causeway Coast and Glens Council in 2014. He was Mayor of Limavady in 2014 and currently serves as a director of Limavady Community Development Initiative (LCDI) as well as the Roe Valley Enterprise Company. He also represented the SDLP in last year’s Westminster Election.
