Councillor for Mid-Ulster

Cllr Tony Quinn is the current Chairman of Cookstown Council and is the SDLP’s Westminster candidate for Mid Ulster.

 

Mr Quinn is a self-employed Credit Controller, a member of the Cookstown District Policing Partnership and a member of the Board of Visitors for the NI Prison Service.

 

Cllr Quinn has warned that with the identity of the next UK government in the balance, it is vital that every constituency has their voice heard at Westminster. 

 

He has stated that refusing to represent the people in Parliament is an ideological position that is well past its sell-by date. 

 

If elected, Cllr Quinn will be looking to protect front-line services, something he considers under threat from the possibility of Conservative-led government.
