Attwood: London inquiry must have powers to compel Kincora evidence
The West Belfast MLA was speaking during an Assembly debate regarding the investigation into historical allegations of abuse at the East Belfast Boy’s home.
He said: “One of the big measures of our democracy and politics must be the primacy of needs of victims and survivors. If not, those who have suffered greatly, will be let down greatly.
“That is why the London inquiry must include the Kincora children. That is why the London inquiry should have all legal powers to compel all documents and people. That is why the security service and those who they protected must be given no opportunity to hide.”
