Durkan condemns those responsible for Derry ‘security alerts’
SDLP Foyle MP Mark Durkan has condemned those responsible for leaving a suspicious object in the front garden of a home in Trafalgar Court and a further security alert in Jeffrey Avenue, Derry.
Mr Durkan said: “If these are viable devices, they are intended to damage or threaten.
“If they are not, then they are intended to disrupt and put people off their everyday business.
“Either way, we have streets cordoned off in two parts of the Waterside – with residents disrupted and many homes evacuated as a result.”
