Speaking after his visit to the site, Mr Ramsey said: “The Northern Ireland Science Park located in Belfast is well known as a hub for local businesses especially start-ups which are achieving and growing year on year. That is success that Derry is tapping into and we want to ensure that our Science Park in liaison with its partner in Belfast, becomes synonymous with success and creativity.

“The positivity surrounding the site when it opens will be phenomenal and there are already success stories such as 8over8 who will be on-site with a view to growing and using the facilities for the benefit of growth.  The capacity the new Park has leaves me in no doubt that it will house what will be the new raft of successful hi-tech and innovative businesses and ideas that will catapult Derry into the 21st century.”
