Reilly welcomes road safety improvements at Daly’s Brae

SDLP Derry City Councillor Martin Reilly has welcomed correspondence from Transport NI (formerly Roads Service) confirming that road safety improvements are to be carried out at the busy Daly’s Brae and Glenshane Road junction in the Waterside. Cllr Reilly made representations to Transport NI after receiving a petition from concerned residents in the area. Following Transport NI’s reply to the Waterside councillor, he said:

McGlone: Welfare Reform must Improve Support for Childcare for Working Families

SDLP MLA for Mid Ulster and chair of the Assembly Enterprise Committee, Patsy McGlone, has warned that any new deal on the Welfare Reform which provides new monies must include improved support for childcare for working families. The Mid Ulster MLA’s comments came as negotiations over the stalled Welfare Reform Bill continued at Stormont.
