Cllr Ciaran Toman

Ciaran was co-opted on to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council in January 2020, replacing the outgoing Councillor Joe Nelson. A party activist since 2012 and has developed a reputation as a hard-working public representative. He is the SDLP's Spokesperson on Tackling Paramilitarism.

Born and bred in Taghnevan, Lurgan, Ciaran received an honours degree in Housing Management at the University of Ulster. Outside of politics, Ciaran is a member of St Pauls GFC Lurgan and a keen supporter of Gaelic Games. He brings to politics the same drive and determination which lead him to represent his County in sport, to deliver for all his constituents living in the Lurgan DEA.

Ciaran first became involved in politics as he believes we need new ideas, new energy and a new politics for us to move forward. The SDLP has a track record of revolutionising politics of Northern Ireland in the past and Ciaran will play his full part to help achieve this.
