34 year old from North Belfast, grew up and still lives in Ardoyne and has been a community activist from the age of 14 and joined Belfast City Council in 2016 being co-opted to take Nichola Mallon's seat. Started working in the health service at the age of 18 as a health care worker and still works as bank staff for the Belfast Trust.
Paul has been a homeless campaigner for almost ten years and in 2017 founded the St Patrick's Soup Kitchen providing support to those who are homeless and marginalised. The need continued to grow and Paul then formed The People’s Kitchen to respond to the growing need for those experiencing poverty, homelessness and isolation and today the service responds seven days a week across the City. The service is provided by over 50 volunteers and this vital service continues to grow.
Paul enjoy family time and travelling. He is enjoying his time serving as a Belfast City Councillor.
