South Down MLA Sinéad Bradley, was first elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly in 2016 and has served as SDLP Spokesperson for the Economy and Health. Currently Sinead represents the party on the Committee for Justice and is the SDLP lead on assisting in the delivery of significant legislation including the Domestic Abuse and Family Proceedings Bill.
Sinéad also plays a key role on the Committee for Procedures within the Northern Ireland Assembly.
As Chairperson for the All Party Group on ‘Preventing Loneliness’ the SDLP representative is leading the charge on preparing Government departments to play their role in adopting a Loneliness Strategy for Northern Ireland.
The South Down representative is also focused on moving forward on the delivery of a Private Members Bill which seeks to place in legislation the right for mothers to breastfeed in public spaces and commercial environments.
A member of the Assembly Womens Caucus Sinéad is also a serving member of seven additional All Party Groups:
Terminal Illness, Reducing Harm Related to Gambling, Cancer, Disability, Autism, Ageing and Older People, Animal Welfare.
