All Island Animal Cruelty Register

Support our campaign for an All Island Animal Cruelty Register - take action now to keep animals safe

Bans from keeping animals for the worst cases of animal cruelty are worth nothing in the absence of an All Island Register of Banned Animal Cruelty Offenders.

Our register would help to:

• Combat the breach of bans on owning or keeping animals
• Prevent someone with a relevant conviction getting a licence to breed or sell animals
• Help link animal cruelty with other offences such as domestic violence by allowing information to be cross-referenced with existing registers.

• Prevent someone with a relevant conviction from working in the animal care profession.

Help stop animal cruelty. Show your support for the introduction of a Register of Banned Animal Cruelty Offenders by signing our petition.

We the undersigned call on the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to work with the Irish Government to establish a island-wide register listing all individuals who have been convicted of animal cruelty and have been banned from keeping animals.
