Newry
Doire (28) hails from the Newry area and is the niece of civil rights veteran Sean Hollywood.
She studied International politics and conflict studies in Queens University Belfast and in 2018 became the co-founder of Our Future Our Choice, a young people's anti-Brexit pro second referendum group. She campaigned with young people across Northern Ireland and sought to bring Northern Ireland to the fore in relation to the impact Brexit might have, meeting with MPs and senior European negotiators.
For the last 3 years Doire has been working in Matthew O'Toole MLA's office. She passionately believes that politics should be about helping people and making substantive changes for everyone living here. For Doire, the opportunity to serve as councillor for Newry means a chance to work hard and deliver for every citizen in the city.
