Derry Housing Survey

The North is in the midst of a housing crisis. The challenge is particularly acute in Foyle. As of June 2021, there were 4593 applicants on social housing waiting lists in Foyle and 3380 in housing stress.  Yet in 2020/21, there were only 206 social houses built in Foyle in 2020/21.  At this rate, it would take 22 years to clear the waiting list.

This is not acceptable. Families and individuals desperately need intervention and a strategy that will actually address the housing crisis that is having a severe impact across our island.

We want to hear from you and your experience. Fill in this short survey so that we can advocate on your behalf.
