SDLP Newry & Armagh MLA Justin McNulty has offered his condolences following the tragic fire at a home in Meigh, near Newry, in which a woman sadly lost her life and a young man was injured.

Justin McNulty MLA said:

“This is an absolutely heartbreaking tragedy for the family involved and for the wider Meigh and South Armagh community.

“My thoughts and deepest sympathies are with all those affected, especially the loved ones of the woman who has sadly passed away. I also want to wish the young man injured in the fire a full and speedy recovery.

“I want to pay tribute to the emergency services who responded swiftly to this devastating incident.

“At times like this, the compassion and support of the entire local community will be so important to those impacted by this terrible loss.”
