SDLP Mid and East Antrim Councillor Eugene Reid has condemned a petrol bomb attack on a car which took place on Wednesday morning in the Clonavon Terrace area of Ballymena.

Commenting, Cllr. Reid said:

“We are very fortunate that no one has been injured in this dangerous and reckless incident which could have easily caused serious injury.

“My thoughts are with the family in this shocking incident which will have understandably left them shaken.

“There is no place for such violence in our town. I hope those responsible can be swiftly brought to justice.

“I would encourage anyone who may have been in the area or have any information to come forward.”
