We petition the Northern Ireland Assembly and the Minister for the Economy to take action to safeguard access to financial services for those unable to access online banking by protecting the network of local branches.
Save our local bank
In the last 10 years, communities across Northern Ireland have lost more than half of our High Street banks - more than 100 branch closures representing the loss of vital financial services in mostly rural communities.
Online banking should compliment physical branches but it cannot work as a wholesale replacement while barriers to access for elderly people, those with poor internet connections and others exist.
Sign our petition today and send a clear message to the banks that we're fighting for our local branches.
