Conor Houston has been appointed as the SDLP’s Director of Policy & Engagement and will lead the party’s work on its New Ireland Commission.
Welcoming Conor into the newly created role, SDLP Party Leader Colum Eastwood MP said:
“We are delighted that Conor is joining our team. This new role reflects the party’s ambition to deliver a vision and a roadmap towards a new and reconciled Ireland.
“Conor’s extensive experience as a lawyer, in business and as a civic activist, together with his commitment to relationship-building, will enrich our existing SDLP team.
“As an SDLP Assembly candidate earlier this year, Conor demonstrated his ability to be a positive, progressive and passionate voice in our politics and in promoting the SDLP’s values. His role will focus on taking our New Ireland Commission to the next phase of its important work.”
