We, the undersigned, demand the BBC reconsider their decision to cut programming and staff at Radio Foyle and retain this vital community resource for people in the north west.
Stop the shutdown of BBC Radio Foyle
The BBC's decision to axe the Radio Foyle Breakfast Show and cut staff jobs is nothing more than an attempt to close the station by stealth.
BBC Radio Foyle has been broadcasting to people in this area for over 40 years and many people rely on it for local news and programming.
We have seen numerous attempts to reduce Radio Foyle's output and staffing over the years and people across the north west need to come together and let the BBC know how much this station means to us.
Jobs and services should not be threatened at what is already an incredibly difficult time for so many across the North.
