SDLP North Belfast Councillor Carl Whyte has expressed his concern following two serious road traffic incidents in North Belfast, one early this morning and another this afternoon.

SDLP Councillor Carl Whyte said:

"There were two serious road traffic collisions in North Belfast today. My thoughts are with everyone directly affected by these incidents, as well as their families and loved ones who are facing a period of understandable concern and uncertainty.

"I want to place on record my thanks to the emergency services for their swift and professional response in very difficult circumstances.

"I would encourage anyone who witnessed either collision, or who may have dashcam, CCTV or other relevant footage, to come forward and share this information with the police, as it may assist with ongoing investigations."
